Print Excel Spreadsheet on 1 page

How many times have you printed an Excel spreadsheet only to find out that 2 pages printed? Bummer when you realize how pathetic that second page looks with one column on it or just a few rows of data.

There is an easy solution that will get that spreadsheet scaled to make it fit 1 page.

First click the Page Layout tab.

Locate the Scale to Fit group. Change the width to 1 page from automatic and change the height to 1 page.

After switching to 1 page you are all set to go assuming that the scale is about 70% or higher. It will be grayed out. The higher the number the less the spreadsheet had to make it a smaller font size.

Tip: Save the spreadsheet as a PDF. Using Excel 2010, click File–>Save As then pick PDF from the format drop-down list. If you have Office 2007 Excel, you first have to download the free Office 2007 Save as PDF ad-in from Microsoft.
